The Ultimate Taco Seasoning

While this blend is versatile enough to be used on just about anything, it really shines as a taco seasoning. The combination of chiles and lime creates a flavor that pairs perfectly with beef, chicken, pork, or even fish tacos. But it’s not just for tacos. This blend is equally amazing on fajitas, in chili, or sprinkled over a bowl of beans. Here are a few of my favorite ways to use Fiesta Rub:

How to use Fiesta Rub

Adding a burst of flavor to your dishes is a breeze with this blend. For meats, I recommend using about 1 tablespoon of blend per pound. Sprinkle generously over proteins before grilling or smoking. For best results, let the seasoning sit on the meat for at least 30 minutes before cooking to allow the flavors to penetrate.

But don’t stop at the meat. This blend is great for spicing up veggies, sprinkling on corn on the cob, or even mixing into sauces and dips for a kick. Don’t be afraid to try new combinations and find what you love.

Beyond Tacos: Unexpected Uses

While this rub is the quintessential taco seasoning, its uses go far beyond that. This versatile blend can add a touch of South of the Border flair to all sorts of dishes. Try sprinkling it on popcorn for a spicy snack, using it to season roasted potatoes, or mixing it into your next batch of guacamole. It’s also great for adding a little kick to grilled shrimp or fish. Here are a few of my favorite non-taco recipes using Fiesta Rub:

Pairing Tips

Fiesta Rub pairs well with others, especially when it comes to my other Hey Grill Hey Rubs and sauces. For an unbeatable flavor combination, try using Fiesta Rub as a base rub, then finish your dish with a sprinkle of my Sweet Rub. The contrast between the tangy Fiesta Rub and the sweet, smoky notes of the Sweet Rub creates a depth of flavor that is hard to beat.

You can also use Fiesta Rub to add a little Southwestern flavor to recipes that call for my other seasonings. For example, try mixing a little Fiesta Rub into my Skillet Potatoes for a spicy twist on this classic side dish.
